Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Pork chops Use bone-in for more flavor.
  • 4 medium Potatoes Sliced.
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken or cream of celery.
  • 1 packet Onion soup mix
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For browning the pork chops.
  • 1 cup Water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the potatoes and arrange them in a baking dish.
  3. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then brown them in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with onion soup mix and water.
Baking
  1. Place the browned pork chops on top of the sliced potatoes, then pour the soup mixture over everything.
  2. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  3. After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the pork chops are cooked through and the potatoes are tender.

Notes

Serve hot with a side salad or steamed vegetables. The creamy sauce is great for spooning over the pork and potatoes. For crunch, add breadcrumbs on top before the last 15 minutes of baking. Customize with additional vegetables for extra nutrition.
