Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted Ensure the coconut oil is melted but not too hot.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  2. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For richer brownies, consider adding chocolate chips or nuts to the batter. Test the brownies a bit earlier than the suggested time to avoid overbaking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
