Ingredients
  

Fruits and Mix-ins
  • 1 can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup Cool Whip or dairy-free whipped topping for a vegan version
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained fruit cocktail and mandarin oranges.
  2. Add mini marshmallows and shredded coconut.
  3. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until everything is well mixed.
  4. If desired, add the chopped pecans and mix again.
  5. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve the salad cold in a large serving bowl, optionally topping with extra pecans or shredded coconut.

Notes

Make sure to drain all the fruit well to avoid excess liquid. You can prepare the salad a day in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, but be aware it may become watery over time.
