- In a large bowl, combine the drained fruit cocktail and mandarin oranges.
- Add mini marshmallows and shredded coconut.
- Gently fold in the Cool Whip until everything is well mixed.
- If desired, add the chopped pecans and mix again.
- Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Serving
- Serve the salad cold in a large serving bowl, optionally topping with extra pecans or shredded coconut.
Notes
Make sure to drain all the fruit well to avoid excess liquid. You can prepare the salad a day in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, but be aware it may become watery over time.
