Ingredients
  

For the chocolate cups
  • 1 cup Milk chocolate melting wafers Use high-quality melting wafers for a smoother texture.
For the filling
  • 2 cups Chocolate mousse Make ahead of time to save on preparation.
  • 1 cup Oreo cookie crumbs Sprinkle on top for a dirt-like appearance.
  • 8 pieces Chocolate covered strawberries Can swap with other fruits like raspberries or blueberries.

Preparation
  1. Melt the milk chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler.
  2. Once melted, carefully fill disposable Dixie cups with the chocolate.
  3. Place the cups in the freezer for about 5 minutes until the chocolate sets.
  4. After the first layer has set, add a second coat of melted chocolate to each cup and freeze again until firm.
  5. Remove the cups from the freezer and fill each one with chocolate mousse.
  6. Sprinkle the top of the mousse with Oreo cookie crumbs.
  7. Place a chocolate covered strawberry on top of each cup before serving.

Notes

Serve Easter Dirt Cups chilled or at room temperature. They look best on a colorful tray or table, and you can add small plastic flowers or edible decorations for a festive touch. Store leftovers in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap or in a sealed container for up to two days.
