Preparation
- Melt the milk chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler.
- Once melted, carefully fill disposable Dixie cups with the chocolate.
- Place the cups in the freezer for about 5 minutes until the chocolate sets.
- After the first layer has set, add a second coat of melted chocolate to each cup and freeze again until firm.
- Remove the cups from the freezer and fill each one with chocolate mousse.
- Sprinkle the top of the mousse with Oreo cookie crumbs.
- Place a chocolate covered strawberry on top of each cup before serving.
Notes
Serve Easter Dirt Cups chilled or at room temperature. They look best on a colorful tray or table, and you can add small plastic flowers or edible decorations for a festive touch. Store leftovers in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap or in a sealed container for up to two days.
