Ingredients
  

Swirl Mixture
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar For the swirl
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For the swirl
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon For the swirl
Bread Ingredients
  • 2 cups gluten free flour blend Ensure proper measurement
  • 1 cup granulated sugar For the bread
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder For leavening
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt For flavor
  • 1 large egg Large, for binding
  • 1 cup milk Can use non-dairy alternative for a vegan option
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled For moisture and flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation of Swirl
  1. In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon. Set aside.
Making the Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the gluten free flour blend, 1 cup of granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter.
  6. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the last of the swirl mixture over it.
  7. Use a knife to gently swirl the batter, creating a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool before slicing.

Notes

Serve with a pat of butter or a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness. Pairs well with coffee or tea. Store wrapped tightly for optimal freshness.
