Method
Preparation of Swirl
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon. Set aside.
Making the Bread
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the gluten free flour blend, 1 cup of granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the last of the swirl mixture over it.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the batter, creating a marbled effect.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
Notes
Serve with a pat of butter or a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness. Pairs well with coffee or tea. Store wrapped tightly for optimal freshness.
