Ingredients
  

For the pork chops
  • 2 pieces medium pork chops Bone-in or boneless can be used
  • 60 g melted butter Adds richness to the dish
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped Fresh herbs enhance flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for the best taste
  • 15 ml extra virgin olive oil For searing pork chops
Seasoning
  • Salt To taste
  • Pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a small bowl, melt the butter and stir in the garlic, thyme, and a splash of lemon juice.
Cooking
  1. Heat the olive oil in a hot skillet and sear the pork chops for 2 minutes on each side.
  2. Pour the butter mixture into the skillet and baste the pork chops with it.
  3. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10 to 14 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  4. Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes, then spoon some butter over the top before serving.

Notes

You can serve these pork chops alongside your favorite sides, like mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. A simple squeeze of lemon can brighten up the dish even more. To store leftovers, let them cool completely, wrap tightly, and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
