Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound baby carrots Can substitute with regular carrots cut into equal-sized pieces.
  • 2 tablespoons honey For a vegan option, substitute with agave syrup.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Plant-based butter can be used for a vegan version.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Add other spices like nutmeg or ginger for variation.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Optional garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the baby carrots and sauté for 5-7 minutes until they start to become tender.
  3. Drizzle the honey over the carrots and sprinkle with cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  4. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are well coated and caramelized.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, try using maple syrup instead of honey. If you want a bit of crunch, don’t overcook the carrots. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop, adding extra honey or butter if needed.
