Preparation and Baking
- Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions.
- In a bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake according to package instructions, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
Layering
- Once cooled, slice the cake into layers.
- Place a layer on a serving plate, then top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
- Add another layer of cake and repeat the process until all layers are assembled.
- Finish with a dollop of whipped cream and additional strawberries on top.
Serving
- Serve on a lovely dish and adorn with extra strawberries for the wow factor.
- Pair with a cup of iced tea or lemonade for a refreshing experience.
Notes
Make sure your cake is completely cool before layering to avoid a mushy whipped cream mess. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. If making ahead, consider baking and slicing the cake, then assembling on the day of serving.
