  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced Fresh strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup whipped cream Can substitute with coconut whipped cream for a vegan option.
  • 1/2 cup water Or as directed on cake mix instructions.
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil Or as directed on cake mix instructions.
  • 3 large eggs Or as directed on cake mix instructions.

Preparation and Baking
  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  2. In a bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake according to package instructions, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely.
Layering
  1. Once cooled, slice the cake into layers.
  2. Place a layer on a serving plate, then top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
  3. Add another layer of cake and repeat the process until all layers are assembled.
  4. Finish with a dollop of whipped cream and additional strawberries on top.

Notes
