Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the pork chops and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the pork chops and set them aside.
Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  4. Return the pork chops to the skillet and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the gravy has thickened.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, place the pork chops in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. Reheat gently before serving. For longer storage, freeze in a sealed container for 2-3 months. For added flavor, marinate the pork chops in seasoning for a few hours before cooking. For a lighter version, use low-fat cream or half and half.
